Redfinn 6M
The leading small sportsfisher in the UK...
If you are considering investing in a new boat this year then look no further than the Redfinn 6M.
The smallest of our Redfinn range is the Redfinn 6M, designed by John Moxham to be a fisherman friendly, day angler for long distance fishing trips is highly fuel efficient and built on the success of our Redfinn 6000 series.
The Redfinn 6M from just £12,960 (VAT INCLUDED) (basic model) is our 'big small boat' available in both open, cuddy or canopy versions. The 6M has its own distinctive style and design and is available with economic Yamaha engines. With many different specifications available there is a Redfinn 6M for everyone.
For optimal performance and fuel efficiency we recommend the Yamaha F70 outboard engine on your new Redfinn 6M. The Yamaha F70 foremost is a unique four-cylinder, single overhead cam, sixteen valve design. The four-valve-per-cylinder design also allows the powerhead to have 17 percent more intake valve area, which translates to higher volumetric efficiency. It also employs an anti-knock sensor to optimise ignition timing and a compact single-throttle valve with a long-track induction system for maximum power and thrust. It can also provide fixed trolling speeds.
From a safety perspective the Redfinn 6M is unsinkable, self-bailing, with no wood, no rot and no maintanence and can be towed easily. That's an ambitious criteria for a boat under 20' in length especially as it has a CE Category C rating for 6 Fishermen, their gear and catch !
The inside of the boat is open planned for maximum space for fishing with a walkabout flat floor. Like the original Redfinn 6000, the Redfinn 6M was built for outboards and it will take up to 100hp.
The 2011 Redfinn 6M now has built in Finn-Riders that give the boat increased stability, buoyancy and fuel efficiency. With 2.5 tons of P.U. rigid foam buoyancy, filling all cavities under the floor and up to the sidewalls to the gunnels; making the boat virtually unsinkable, giving that extra feeling of safety.
When this boat is submerged during testing to conform to 'CE' compliance, it surfaces rightside up = (upright floatation) and promptly self drains.
Key features of the Redfinn 6M are:
- Approximately 2.5 Tons of closed cell foam buoyancy.
- Trimaran stability from built-in Finnriders.
- Self bailing - No bilge pump required.
- Planes at all speeds resulting in greater fuel efficiency.
- Drift control with free drogue.
- Portside (at transom), a 25 litre circular tank is built in as standard (to be kitted out as a livewell if required).
- All windows are made from acrylic.
- All wires and cables are built-in - out of sight.
- Receptacles for two 23.5 litre fuel tanks in one transome locker
- Two battery retainers in the second transom locker
- C.E. approved for 6 Fishermen.
